weekend update: facebook roundup!
yes we are busy busy in our respective jobs, blogging is what we do in our spare time, sorry for the lack of posts lately, but we do have a few good ones in draft coming here very soon, this week in fact. check back to find out about two amazing vancouver gluten free businesses, and of course another cookie of the week review. in the meantime, here is some of the stuff we posted to facebook recently, have a great weekend everyone!
+ check out this flyer about celiac disease that was included in a recent edition of the LA Times! it has some excellent information. we need something like this in the Vancouver Sun!
+ mmm fresh gluten free blueberry muffins from My Local Cafe! they are my favorite!
+ Udi's breads, bagels and cinnamon buns are now available at IGA Marketplace! (they are located in the deli cooler area not the freezer). yay!
+ introducing toast-a-bags! these things are great if you have to share a toaster at work or at home, and would be ideal for traveling. they can be re-used and are washable. available at eds gluten free speciality!
+ High Crow Gluten Free Foods will be at the vancouver winter market today at nat bailey stadium (10 - 2) and the steveston winter market on sunday at the cannery (10 - 4). blog post on high crow coming soon!
+ some days I wish I didnt have to eat gluten free, but this article reminds me why I would never go back to a conventional diet.
+ kez's crackers are on sale at London Drugs! they are 4.99 until the end of march...that's a savings of 1.50.
+ udi's cinnamon buns are so good! they are nice and doughy and come with a sugary glaze to add too!
+ need a quick gluten free refresher? this quick start guide from living without magazine is a great reference!
+ curious about all the buzz about Kellogg's Gluten Free Rice Krispies? the rumours are true, and Rice Krispies will become gluten free by about May of this year. this is a great article about it and read the comments too about the challenges of bringing mainstream products like General Mills Rice Chex to Canada.
