post card from los angeles! (+ giveaway)

we are in los angeles! we decided to travel from vancouver to los angeles to attend the Celiac Disease Foundation's annual Education Conference & Food Faire which took place yesterday. we had such a great experience meeting new friends and of course trying out some of the best gluten free foods and beverages. 

our highlights were Venice Bakery's pizza and calzones, Green's amber ale, Udi's hot dog buns, Ciao Bella blood orange sorbet bars, and the Pure Pantry's cupcakes! we picked up a lot of great gluten free food samples and swag we don't know how we are going to carry it all home! 

since you couldn't make it, we would like to put together a prize pack full of some of the products we found here, including a Betty Crocker gluten free t-shirt, Pamela's Products cake and frosting mixes, Enjoy Life's new mega chunks chocolate chips, Udi's hot dog buns and granola, and so much more!

Sounds like a good trip! I'm headed to NYC and have a huge pile of maps to all the restaurants I plan to visit...mmmm, mac and cheese :D

What a great giveaway! There's a bakery called Babycakes in LA - I hear it's got amazing gluten-free and dairy-free treats!

Wow that sounds so amazing! I am waiting for the day when more restaurants and food places provide gluten-free options. I heard rumour that Subway may have GF options soon but I don't know when.

oh man I would give anything to have gone to this! I freak out every time i go into ED's and see some new cool gf stuff that Canada doesn't normally carry. It's awesome seeing this kind of awareness, now we need to bring it to Vancouver!

I'm going to NY soon too, so hope to have all sorts of good info for there!
